In December of 2013 I had a kidney stone. I was in EXCRUTIATING pain and was in the hospital 2x for the hard stuff to control my pain. It was almost worse than child birth! Ha! My CT scan showed that I had 2 kidneys full of stones. Great! Just what I wanted to hear..
Anyways, I was sent to a urologist and after several tests, he diagnosed me with Medullary Sponge Kidney.
"Medullary sponge kidney (MSK) is a birth defect of the tubules—tiny tubes inside the kidneys. In a normal kidney, urine flows through these tubules as it is being formed. In MSK, tiny sacs called cysts form in the medulla—the inner part of the kidney-creating a sponge-like appearance. The cysts keep urine from flowing freely through the tubules.
"MSK is present at birth but most cases do not appear to be inherited. Problems caused by MSK include hematuria, or blood in urine; kidney stones; and urinary tract infections (UTIs) and can very rarely lead to kidney failure. But these problems do not usually appear until the ages of 30 to 40. MSK affects about 1 person per 5,000 to 20,000 people in the United States. Researchers have reported that up to 20 percent of people who form kidney stones have MSk."
Basically, I'm a kidney stone making machine.
Okay, so I have a friend who has been using Young Living Essential Oils and she's just raved about them, so I thought I would order some Lemon Oil (And of course, other things.) because she had told me that there were testimonies of people passing kidney stones painlessly. I'll be honest, I had my doubts mainly because I knew what I had just gone through but thought I'd try anything knowing that I still have so many kidney stones. I was told, from my urologist, that I had to drastically increase the amount of water I was drinking. I put 2-3 drops in my water and did it consistently for awhile but then I'd just do it when I remembered. ;)
Here's the cool part!
This week, I started working out so was drinking ALOT of water. I woke up this morning with a bloated feeling and a little pain, but not too bad. (I even got my workout in.) I noticed that I was having alot of trouble emptying my bladder and had a little blood in my urine. Thinking, I probably had a uTi, I called my dr and asked if I could get some lab work done and go ahead and get a script called in. I laid in my recliner and rubbed Thieves and Lemon Oil all across my abdomen. I was getting ready to jump in the shower because after all, I had labs to do this morning for my "bladder infection"...I went to the restroom and I PASSED A KIDNEY STONE!!! Painlessly!! I know you all may be thinking.. That's crazy! I'll spare you the photo of the thing that I sent to my husband. It was for REAL! I think a combination of all of the water flushing out my kidneys PLUS the oils REALLY helped! I am so thankful that my friend introduced me to these and I'm a believer, ya'll!! Big time!!
Get your oils on!
